High School Staff Member and a Student Test Positive for COVID-19

Image
Parents, Staff, and Students:  The Collins Career Technical Center has been notified that a high school staff member and a high school student have tested positive for COVID-19.  CCTC students and staff have been diligent about wearing proper facial coverings, hand washing, and social distancing. Our facility has been properly sanitized. We are working with the Lawrence County Health Department to make sure all protocol is being followed and those who have had possible contact are being notified.  Out of an abundance of caution, we advise you to monitor your students' health, follow the CDC guidelines for people who have had close contact, and contact your primary care physician if you develop symptoms.  LCJVSD is continuing to monitor the situation and will provide additional information as needed. We hope for a full and successful recovery for the staff member and the student.  Sincerely, Stephen K. Dodgion Superintendent

Transportation for Chesapeake Students

Attention Chesapeake High School Students and Parents: As you may be aware, Chesapeake-Union High School is transitioning to virtual learning for the next two weeks. We are told the bus routes for CCTC students will be unchanged and you can expect to be picked up and dropped off at your bus stops as usual. There will also be a bus to take you to and from CCTC at your regular times.  Students who drive to CCTC will obviously be unaffected by this change. Virtual learning will also continue as usual.
