High School Student Tests Positive for COVID-19

Image
Parents, Staff, and Students: The Collins Career Technical Center has been notified that a high school student has tested positive for COVID-19. CCTC students and staff have been diligent about wearing proper facial coverings, hand washing, and social distancing. Our facility has been properly sanitized.  We are working with the Lawrence County Health Department to make sure all protocol is being followed and those who have had possible contact are being notified. Out of an abundance of caution, we advise you to monitor your students’ health, follow the CDC guidelines for people who have had close contact, and contact your primary care physician if you develop symptoms. LCJVSD is continuing to monitor the situation and will provide additional information as needed.  We hope for a full and successful recovery for the student. Sincerely, Stephen K.
